Mizzou women cruise past Arkansas to win sixth straight

The Mizzou women’s basketball team tied a program record for its best start in the SEC after a 71-53 win over Arkansas.

The Tigers have now won six straight games and improve to 14-3 (3-0 SEC) on the season.

Amber Smith led the way with her seventh double double of the season. She had 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Emmanuelle Tahane had, perhaps, her best game in a Tiger uniform. She finished with 13 points, which ties a season high.

Despite just two points in the first half, Sophie Cunningham rallied in the second half to finish with 11 points and seven assists.

Cierra Porter also had season highs in both points (nine) and rebounds (seven) after returning to the Tigers.

Mizzou returns to the floor again Jan. 13 on the road against Florida at 2:00 p.m.
