Increasing sunshine and warming temperatures

TONIGHT: Temperatures drop back into the low 20s as skies gradually clear. Westerly winds up to 8 mph create for wind chills in mid teens through morning.

THURSDAY: We’ll finally see some sunshine and temperatures will start to rise. After a cold morning, we’ll reach the mid to upper 40s in the afternoon with a southwest breeze up to 8 mph.

EXTENDED: Another southern storm system will pass well to our south Thursday night into Friday morning but most of the precipitation looks like it will stay in southern Missouri and we will stay dry. After morning lows in the upper 20s, temperatures warm Friday near 50 degrees with plenty of sunshine. The weekend looks nice for early January with mostly sunny skies Saturday and highs in the mid to upper 50s. Rain moves in Sunday night, continuing Monday morning then tapering off with .30″ to .70″ expected. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest on the upcoming changes and check back here for updates.
