Police search for armed robber in Mexico

Police in Mexico, Missouri, are searching for a person accused of holding a Casey’s Convenience Store cashier at gunpoint.

According to the Mexico Public Safety Department, the man allegedly entered the store located in the 1700 block of E. Liberty Street at 10:34 p.m. Monday. The man then allegedly held the cashier at gunpoint and demanded money, MPSD said in a press release. After an investigation, police found the man likely fled on foot and made his way to a car that was waiting nearby.

The man is described as being more than 5 feet tall and around 190 pounds. He was last wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, gloves, and a white mask similar to an “Insane Clown Posse” mask, MPSD said.

The alleged robber took less than $200 from the store. No one was hurt in the incident.
