Man arrested after police chase ends in Centralia

A man arrested after a police chase ended in Centralia could face charges in Boone County.

Carl J. Dehn, of Mexico, Missouri, was arrested Monday night by police near the intersection of Highway 22 and Highway 151.

Police said Dehn took off after officers tried to stop him for a vehicle registration violation around 6:30 p.m. Dehn was later located after he crashed his vehicle and ran from it.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Boone County Sheriff’s Department helped in the arrest of Dehn.

According to investigators, the license plates on the vehicle Dehn had been driving were altered and his driver’s license was expired.

Police said officers found methamphetamine, scales and drug paraphernalia.

Dehn was also on parole for second-degree robbery at the time of his arrest.

Police arrested Dehn on possible charges of forgery, delivery of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
