Flooded, slick roads possible issue during Tuesday morning commute

A few roads in mid-Missouri are listed as closed due to flooding Tuesday morning, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation Traveler’s Map.

Continuous rainfall on Monday caused some roads to flood, and drivers might comes across those or slick roads Tuesday morning.

With temperatures below freezing in some counties, less traveled roads or higher surfaces might be slick because they are still wet from the rain.

MoDOT and some municipal public works crews said they would be on standby Tuesday morning, just in case the roads become slick.
