Documents: Morgan County shooting unprovoked
A man who was shot in the face early Friday in Morgan County told investigators the attack was unprovoked.
The man was shot on Bear Claw Lane near Stover and taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said last week. He told deputies that he was on his front porch after letting his dogs out that morning when Revious Hamilton, his neighbor who lived in an RV across the street, came outside cursing and “screaming that he was going to start killing everything,” a Morgan County sheriff’s captain wrote in a probable cause statement.
Hamilton’s neighbor said he told Hamilton not to shoot his animals and Hamilton responded by shooting him, according to the statement. Hamilton fired five to six shots and ran into the woods afterward, the statement said.
Hamilton was still on the run Monday, the sheriff’s office said.
