Counterfeit cash making rounds in Jefferson City
Jefferson City officials took to Facebook Saturday afternoon to warn residents about some counterfeit bills making the rounds.
Police said that over the last several days, they’ve been contacted by area businesses about the counterfeit money. Pictures of the bills are below. They state “For Motion Picture Use Purposes”, which are a giveaway that the bills are fake.
Police are asking people to be diligent about examining any money they receive from transactions at local businesses.
