State Sen. Caleb Rowden on leadership role, key issues

State Sen. Caleb Rowden is ready to take on a bigger role in Missouri politics in 2019.

The Columbia Republican will be the Senate’s majority leader when the session begins Jan. 9, with several major issues looming large. Among them is transportation funding after the rejection of an increase in the gas sales tax.

During an interview with ABC 17’s Joe McLean on Friday, Rowden said he expects the legislature to put another gas tax on the ballot within the next couple of years. Watch the video to see the in-newscast interview.
