Record-breaking holiday travel expected

The holiday season is here, which brings increased travelers, possibly long lines and delayed flights.

AAA predicts more people will travel this holiday season than ever before.

Cheaper airfare is part of the reason more people are taking to the skies this holiday season.

AAA also predicts one in three Americas, a record-breaking 112.5 million people are expected to travel for the holidays.

This is up more than 4 percent from last year.

The holiday travel period runs from Dec. 20 to Jan. 6.

TSA said more than 40 million flyers are expected to pass through airport security lines during this period.
