Camden County home destroyed by fire Thursday night

The Mid-County Fire Protection District responded to a fire at a home Thursday night north of Camdenton.

According to a post on Facebook, crews arrived at the home around 10:40 p.m. on Tranquil Point Lane to find the two-story house was fully involved on the top floor and the roof had collapsed.

Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 45 minutes, officials said. Crews remained on scene until 2 a.m.

The MCFPD Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. Officials said it does not appear to be suspicious.

According to the release, the home was unoccupied at the time of the fire and is considered a total loss.
