Mid-Missouri circuit judge passes away over the weekend

The Warren County coroner confirmed Tuesday morning a mid-Missouri circuit judge passed away over the weekend.

ABC 17 News is told Judge Wes C. Dalton, 60, died Sunday afternoon, reportedly from a heart-related condition. An official cause of death hasn’t been released.

Dalton represented the 12th Circuit, which covers Audrain, Montgomery and Warren counties.

The Audrain County Prosecutor’s Office described the judge in a Facebook post as “tough but fair.”

Dalton joined the 12th Circuit in 2013.
