Thawing out once again this afternoon– Tracking rain chances for Wednesday evening

THIS AFTERNOON: I think you’re already well aware of the forecast at this point. Sunshine, temperatures near 50 degrees. We’ll cool through the 40s through rush hour… it’s another chilly night in store for the area. Great views of the comet once again overnight.

TONIGHT: We’ll keep those mostly clear skies heading into the overnight hours, which will allow us to cool off once again. Frost is possible. Temperatures will dip to the upper 20s to near 30 degrees heading into Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: We will pick up a few more clouds heading throughout the afternoon on Tuesday, but temperatures will remain above average for this time of year in the low 50s. Heading into Wednesday, we’ll be tracking a low pressure system that looks to bring us a chance of rain. Right now, timing looks to be Wednesday evening into Thursday morning when Mid-Missouri should expect some light showers. This system exits off to our east Thursday afternoon, leaving behind cooler temperatures. We only top out in the middle 40s Thursday with cloud cover lingering and low 40s by Friday.
