Police investigate robbery at Virginia Ave parking garage

UPDATE, 6:45 p.m.: MU Police said the victim was at the garage to buy a cell phone but the suspects assaulted him and stole his money instead.

UPDATE: Police said the suspect left the garage in a white car, heading south.

The driver is described as a Hispanic man who is 5 foot 3 inches tall and has 1 inch long dark hair.

The passenger is an African American man with glasses. They do not have a weapon.

ORIGINAL STORY: The University of Missouri sent out an MU Alert shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Sunday to warn about a recent robbery in the area.

Authorities are investigating a robbery at Virginia Avenue parking garage.

They are telling people to stay away from the area, and that more updates will follow.
