Crews restore power to more than 1,000 Boone Electric customers
UPDATE 10 a.m.: A Boone Electric Cooperative spokesman said the power outage was cause by a car crashing into a utility pole Sunday morning.
Crews were able to restore power in less than an hour, but it was a temporary fix and will be back out Monday to completely restore the pole and line.
UPDATE 4 a.m.: According to the Boone Electric Cooperative outage map, all power was restored by 4 a.m. Sunday.
ABC 17 News continues to try and get in contact with Boone Electric spokespeople for more information.
ORIGINAL: The Boone Electric Cooperative outage map showed that more than 1,000 customers were without power early Sunday morning.
About 1,050 customers were without power as of 2:40 a.m.
Online dispatch reports showed that first responders were called to a crash near Route K and Sinclair Street, which is in the area of the outages.
ABC 17 News heard reports of a possible rollover crash and the vehicle crashed into a utility pole.
