Hit or miss showers Friday; Beautiful weekend
FRIDAY: Spotty showers are possible this afternoon, but most locations will be on the dry side. We’re still seeing fog hanging on in places that saw rain yesterday, but that will gradually be lifting throughout the afternoon. Thanks to cloudy skies and northerly winds, it’ll be a cool day. Highs will only top out in the lower 40s, with breeze winds up to 17 mph. A better chance for rain arrives as we head into the evening, but will mainly be confined southeast of Hwy 54.
TONIGHT: Rain will linger into the night before tapering off by Saturday morning. Any rain that will occur will remain in southeastern Mid-Missouri, with clearing skies elsewhere. Overnight lows will bottom out near freezing, with breezy winds out of the north up to 18 mph. This will make it feel colder as you step out the door Saturday, with many locations seeing wind chills readings near 20 degrees.
EXTENDED: Morning rain near I-44 Saturday will end and we will dry out as we head into the weekend, with afternoon highs near 50 and plenty of sunshine both Saturday and Sunday. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 20s to low 30s. A dry weather pattern is setting up for next week as we stay in a milder weather pattern.
