Fog and rain in parts of Mid-MO tonight, nice weekend ahead

TONIGHT: Rain will linger into the night before tapering off by Saturday morning. Any rain that will occur will remain in southeastern Mid-Missouri near I-44, with clearing skies farther northwest. Overnight lows will bottom out near freezing, with breezy winds out of the north up to 18 mph. This will make it feel colder as you step out the door Saturday, with many locations seeing wind chills readings near 20 degrees.Areas of dense fog are possible early in the night with fog gradually decreasing from north to south.

SATURDAY: Morning rain near I-44 Saturday will end and we will dry out with increasing sunshine and mild temperatures. Highs will reach the upper 40s to low 50s with a north breeze to 12 mph.

EXTENDED: Sunday will stay mild and mostly sunny, making for a beautiful December day as highs reach the lower 50s. The mild, dry weather pattern will continue into next week with highs in the upper 40 to lower 50s. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 20s to low 30s. A cold front moving in Wednesday will bring a chance of rain and cool us down a bit for the end of the work week. Stay with ABC 17 News as we continue to fine tune our tracks and forecasts.
