One in custody after Lucky’s Market theft

The Columbia Police Department took one person into custody after a reported theft at Lucky’s Market in Columbia.

Officers on scene said the theft was reported at approximately 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday. The suspect fled the store, toward the Columbia Cemetery area, CPD spokesman Jeff Pitts said. They were able to later find the suspect at Park Hill and south Garth Avenue.

A charity event food drive was also taking place at Lucky’s at the time of the theft.
