Cole County deputies investigate shots fired on Collier Lane
The Cole County Sheriff’s Office investigated shots fired on Collier Lane Tuesday evening.
Cole County Sheriff John Wheeler said deputies were called to the area just before 5 p.m. and discovered someone fired at least three shots into a second story apartment.
“There were people inside,” Wheeler said. “Nobody was injured, thank god, so we are continuing the investigation.”
The suspect, or suspects left before deputies arrived. Anyone with information is asked to call the Cole County Sheriff’s Department.
“If you’ve seen something, please say something,” Wheeler said.
The scene cleared just before 6:30 p.m.
