All about winter this week, more light snow possible Tuesday morning
THIS AFTERNOON: It’s a pure winter feel across Mid-Missouri with temperatures struggling to budge from the lower 30s. Clouds are socked into place… some on and off flurries are possible. You’ll want that heavy winter jacket if you’re going to make any plans to get out and about.
TONIGHT: Clouds don’t budge into this evening as temperatures fall back into the mid 20s. A steady breeze out of the northwest through morning will make it feel like the teens through the night.
EXTENDED: Cloudy skies will hold strong through Tuesday, intermittent snow showers are possible through the morning, but that threat lies mainly east of HWY 63. No accumulation is expected. We stay cold, without much sunshine over the next 48 hours. Wednesday, we’re tracking a warm front lifting through the area which will help break up some of the cloud cover across Mid-MO and helping temperatures rebound a bit to near 40 degrees. Our next cold front is quick to follow Thursday. This will bring a quick moving system that brings in snow chances for Wednesday night into Thursday morning, ushering in cold air behind it. Temperatures closing out the week will be back near freezing for highs. Trends keeps us cold through next weekend. Stay with ABC 17 News as we continue to track the latest details on the changing conditions.
