Woman overturns in Howard County fatal crash
The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated a fatal crash in Howard county Friday afternoon.
According to their report, a 62-year-old woman from New Franklin crashed on U.S Highway 40 just east Highway 5 around 2 p.m.
The car ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, overturned and hit a tree before coming to a rest. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash marks the eighth traffic fatality in the highway patrol’s troop F, and the 70th for the state.
