Burglary suspect faces new Callaway County charges
A man charged this week with kicking in the door of a Fulton apartment now also faces charges of stealing and credit card fraud.
Bradley Foutes was arrested early Tuesday after he returned to the apartment where he had kicked in the door before being scared off, Fulton police said. Foutes was charged with burglary and property damage in that case, but he was also charged Tuesday with felony stealing and credit card fraud, a misdemeanor, after investigators said he stole a credit card and debit cards from a vehicle and used them at a gas station and other businesses.
A Fulton resident reported Nov. 4 that his vehicle had been broken into overnight and a wallet stolen, according to a probable cause statement. Statements showed cards in the wallet were used for $156.56 in charges at the MPC gas station on Business 54 and other businesses. A Callaway County deputy identified Foutes using surveillance video from the gas station.
Foutes is being held without bond pending a bond study. A Callaway County deputy wrote in the probable cause statement for his stealing charge that Foutes threatened law enforcement officers and their families when he was booked, has an extensive criminal history and has told officers he will not go back to prison.
A counsel status hearing is set for Dec. 7.
