Travel holiday begins for Columbia Airport
The Transportation Security Administration predicts the 2018 holiday travel season to be one of the busiest yet. More than 25 million travelers are expected to pass through across the country for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Flights are scheduled to arrive at the Columbia Regional Airports at approximately 2 p.m., and flights will began departure at approximately 3 p.m.
David Giles, a frequenter of the Columbia Airport, said he travels every holiday season, and he prepares for the airport to be busy.
TSA officials suggested to prepare for long lines and to follow travel guidelines to ensure quick passage through lines. A full TSA travel checklist can be found here.
