Hallsville woman allegedly tries to shoot boyfriend
A Hallsville woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after she allegedly tried to shoot her boyfriend with a stolen pistol.
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were sent to the address on Hecht Road after Jennifer Carney allegedly tried to shoot her boyfriend.
The victim told law enforcement that Carney pointed the pistol at him, and it jammed when she tried to shoot him. He said Carney then hit him with the gun.
Deputies found the gun had been stolen.
Carney was arrested for domestic assault, armed criminal action and stealing. She’s in the Boone County Jail with no bond.
