Missing Callaway County man found safe

UPDATE (11/20 2 a.m.): Jerry Hutcheson has been found safe.

A Marion County deputy found the elderly man who was reported missing near Hannibal around 11:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.

Original story: The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing elderly man.

Jerry Dean Hutcheson, 74, was last seen at his residence at 11073 Maple Leaf Lane in Holts Summit on Monday morning, according to an “endangered silver advisory” issued by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Hutcheson has dementia and diabetes.

Hutcheson is 6 feet tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has gray hair, hazel eyes and was wearing a flannel shirt and blue jeans, according to the advisory, and drives a cream-colored 2008 Ford Edge with Missouri license plate number HF2-S0Z.

Authorities said a soft shell black jacket is missing from the residence.

Anyone with information about Hutcheson is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 573-642-7291.
