Beautiful holiday weather, rainy Friday
TONIGHT: Temperatures drop back below freezing by Wednesday morning under clear skies. With winds out of the southwest up to 10 mph, it will make it feel more like the mid 20s as you head out the door.
WEDNESDAY: The same wind that creates a wind early in the morning will actually warm us up nicely through the afternoon as temperatures rise back into the mid 50s with sunny skies and a southwest breeze up to 6 mph.
EXTENDED: The warmer weather continues for Thanksgiving as we reach the upper 50s with sunshine for the holiday. By Black Friday our next chance of rain returns, moving in from the west in the morning and continuing through the afternoon with high temperatures near 50. It will be a damp, breezy and cool Friday. Saturday looks dry with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Another storm system moving in from the southwest will bring a chance of rain Sunday followed by colder air. As the colder air moves in, the rain is expected to change over to snow by late afternoon or evening. Right now it looks more likely to see snow in areas north of I-70 but this could change depending on where the storm system ends up. There is still uncertainty on position and timing which we’ll pin down as we go through the week. If you have travel plans for Sunday into Monday, keep an eye on the forecast. The start of next week looks cold with highs only in the 30s and nights in the lower 20s as the winter weather pattern returns.
