Pleasant Friday, with another blast of winter this weekend
FRIDAY: For the first time in quite some time, it will be a pleasant afternoon across Mid-Missouri. Plenty of sunshine and light winds out of the west will allow temperatures to warm into the upper 40s and lower 50s. The only exceptions will be far eastern Mid-Missouri where temperatures will stay in the mid 40s thanks to snow pack.
TONIGHT: Clouds build tonight with temperatures falling to near freezing. Winds will be out of the southeast up to 8 mph, which will make it feel more like the upper 20s. Once clouds build back in, temperatures will actually rise through the night.
EXTENDED: Another cold front goes through Saturday morning, cooling us back into the low to mid 40s for highs with cloudy skies through the day. We are watching for possible light snow Saturday night which could produce minor accumulation into Sunday morning, possibly changing to rain and ending in the afternoon. The system will have little moisture to work with, so if we see anything it will amount to brief light snow showers that could bring a dusting. The better chance of accumulating snow is north of I-70, with areas receiving up to 1/2″. Highs will be colder Sunday, only reaching the low to mid 30s. Next week looks warmer as we climb into the 40s to lower 50s for highs with mainly dry weather through Wednesday. Rain chances return by the end of the Thanksgiving week and into the weekend.
