Colder air moves in Saturday, minor snow & ice possible

TONIGHT: Clouds build tonight with temperatures falling to near freezing. Winds will be out of the southeast up to 8 mph, which will make it feel more like the upper 20s. Once clouds build back in, temperatures will actually rise through the night.

SATURDAY: Another cold front goes through Saturday morning, cooling us back into the low to mid 40s for highs with cloudy skies through the day with northwesterly winds up to 12 mph.

EXTENDED: We are watching for possible light snow Saturday night which could produce minor accumulation into Sunday morning, possibly changing to rain and ending in the afternoon. Freezing drizzle will mix in with the snow north of HWY 24 by early evening Saturday, changing to light snow overnight for areas north of I-70. Drizzle is possible south of I-70 and with temperatures dropping to the freezing mark after 3 AM, patchy ice is possible through early Sunday morning south of I-70. This is a minor event but some roads and especially bridges and overpasses could have slick areas. Untreated roads north of I-70 could be lightly snow covered Sunday morning before temperatures go above freezing by late morning into early afternoon. A dusting to an inch of snow is possible north of I-70 with a dusting and patchy ice possible south by early Sunday morning. Highs will be colder Sunday, only reaching the low to mid 30s. Next week looks warmer as we climb into the 40s to lower 50s for highs with mainly dry weather through Wednesday. Rain chances return by the end of the Thanksgiving week and into the weekend but right now Thanksgiving looks mostly sunny and mild with highs in the mid 50s.
