Off to a foggy start to the weekend
SATURDAY: We’ll see areas of dense fog early on this morning with cool temperatures and light winds. Temperatures will warm to the upper 50s and low 60s as our winds will pick up out of the southeast with some gusts getting up to 25 mph. We could see a stray shower or two north of I-70 today, but the better chance of rain holds off until tonight.
TONIGHT: We’ll see a better chance of rain tonight with a system working through Mid-Missouri. Temperatures don’t cool off as much with abundant cloud cover and winds out of the south.
EXTENDED: We could see some showers lingering into the morning hours on Sunday, but most of us look to stay dry with highs reaching the middle 50s. We have another chance of more rain Monday afternoon, exiting the area Tuesday morning. This will bring a better soaking with up to an inch of rain possible. For Election Day, after that chance of morning rain, we’ll dry out through the day and stay cool with highs in the mid 50s. We finally see some sunshine Wednesday through Friday as chilly, dry weather settles in later next week, with highs struggling to climb into the lower 50s.
