President to have hosted 53 rallies by election

By Election Day, Nov. 6, President Donald Trump will have hosted 53 rallies across 23 states since the start of his administration, according to sources close to the president.

President Trump held a rally in Fort Meyers, Florida, Wednesday night, during which he spoke about a migrant caravan heading toward the U.S. as well as border security and tax cuts.

According to reporting by the Associated Press, the president announced his plans to send 15,000 military troops to the Mexican border, which is about double what the Pentagon had originally said.

“We’re tougher than anybody. We’re tougher than any force and we’re probably going to have to be unfortunately,” President Trump said during the rally. “I tell them turn back, and they’re not going to be released. It’s called catch, but we take the word release out. We’re not releasing anyone. We have no choice.”

Florida is facing a close race for U.S. Senator with Senator Bill Nelson, D, and current Gov. Rick Scott, R. There’s also a tight race to replace Scott as governor between Andrew Gillum, D, and Ron DeSantis, R.

During the rally, the president urged voters to vote for Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis, according to reporting from local media.

This comes ahead of the president’s scheduled stop in Columbia on Thursday. He’s expected to speak at 6:30 p.m. at the Columbia Regional Airport. The president will be in Missouri again on Monday. He’ll hold another MAGA rally in Cape Girardeau at 9 p.m.

The president is scheduled to also make appearances for rallies in Huntington, West Virginia; Indianapolis, Indiana; Belgrade, Montana; Pensacola, Florida; Macon, Georgia; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Cleveland, Ohio; Fort Wayne, Indiana and Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
