Tracking a mild start and a toasty end to the weekend

TODAY: Friday is another sunny and mild day, much like Thursday. Winds are light and variable with high pressure overhead this morning, but generally, air flow will be from the north through the first half of the day, before winds become easterly and southeasterly this evening. This gives us another day with highs in the low 80s.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear tonight, with temperatures falling into the 60s after sunset.

EXTENDED: Saturday morning will be crisp, with temperatures in the low 60s and dew points in the 50s for some. Saturday will be partly cloudy, with some cirrus clouds stretching over the region from the west. Overall, it's a very bright day, and one of many as mostly sunny skies are forecast Sunday through Tuesday. A few clouds may pop up by late next week, but no rain chances are expected. We'll be under the influence of a heat dome that keeps us dry and in the 90s Sunday through Thursday. Expect a hot home opener at Faurot Field.
