Halloween evening brings slight rain chances

WEDNESDAY: Showers will linger near the I-44 corridor for the morning, with a few showers as far north as I-70. We will stay cloudy through the day with mostly dry conditions for lunch time and through the afternoon. Moisture will advect back into our area early this evening providing for some showers for the trick-or-treaters, especially south of HWY 50. Grab the umbrella or rain jacket as you head out tonight. Temperatures for Halloween day look to remain in the mid 50s, with the cooler weather arriving into the evening hours. Thanks to the cloudy skies we’ll see, we can expect temperatures to hold steady in the upper 40s and lower 50s for Halloween night.

TONIGHT: Showers will continue through Thursday morning in our southeastern counties as everyone sees clouds stick around. Temperatures will drop into the mid 40s with winds out of the north up to 8 mph.

EXTENDED: The overnight showers could lift as far north as I-70 during the day Thursday but the better chance of rain will remain closer to I-44. Areas north will see some sunshine tomorrow but skies will remain mostly cloudy south with high temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Another cold front will drop south Friday, bringing another chance of rain and keeping us in the low 50s Friday afternoon, dropping into the mid 30s Friday night. Saturday, more rain will increase north of I-70 through the afternoon as our southern counties stay dry. This is as a low pressure system moves to the north of the area. Sunday rain chances pick up for our entire area as the low brings another cold front through mid-Missouri. It will stay cool all weekend with highs in the low to mid 50s and nights in the upper 30s to lower 40s. The unsettled pattern continues through next Tuesday with rain chances continuing.
