Man charged in connection to Jefferson City shots fired

One man was charged in connection to a vehicle shooting on Saturday on Ohio Street in Jefferson City.

According to court documents, Robert. G. Troester Jr. drove up to a home on Ohio Street and began yelling outside while holding a shotgun. One witness said they heard Troester say “I’ll kill you if you ever say anything.”

Three witnesses said they heard one gunshot in the area. One of the victims’ vehicles had damage from a gunshot, according to court documents.

Troester was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree property damage and armed criminal action.

At last check, Troester was still at large.
