MU swimming and diving coach placed on administrative leave

The University of Missouri’s head swimming and diving coach was placed on paid administrative leave Monday, according to a press release sent from Mizzou Athletics.

Greg Rhodenbaugh, who has coached the team for nine years, was placed on leave “while the University investigates allegations related to team management issues within the Tiger programs,” the release said.

Associate Head Coach Andrew Grevers is set to serve as the program’s interim head coach until the investigation is completed.

“We recently were made aware of serious team management allegations by our student-athletes, and it is appropriate that Coach Rhodenbaugh be placed on paid administrative leave while the University conducts a full investigation,” said Mizzou Athletics Director Jim Sterk. “Our goal is to provide the best possible environment for all Mizzou student-athletes to achieve academic and athletic success. We expect and demand that our coaches manage their programs with the utmost integrity, and we will review any allegation thoroughly.”
