Windy day in store for Mid-Missouri
SUNDAY: We’re continuing to track a fast-moving system affecting Mid-Missouri this morning. Although some widely scattered sprinkles can’t be ruled out this morning, most of us look to stay dry with this system. The biggest impact will be the strong winds we see today, with some gusts reaching 30 mph. Temperatures will still be seasonal, reaching the low to mid 60s.
TONIGHT: Winds will relax heading into the evening as we hang on to mostly clear skies. We’ll see a cooler night with these clear skies and calming winds as temperatures cool off into the upper 30s and low 40s for overnight lows.
EXTENDED: We see another beautiful day on Monday with plenty of sunshine and temperatures warming into the upper 60s in the afternoon. Clouds will be on the increase Tuesday ahead of an approaching system that looks to bring our next chance for rain. Rain chances will be increasing toward the afternoon and evening, before moving out on Wednesday morning. We’re continuing to track another disturbance behind this front that could keep showers in the area for Halloween, but as of this morning, things look to stay dry for the northern half of the viewing area. A cooler weather pattern will take shape behind this system, with highs topping out in the low to mid 50s Thursday and Friday. Tune in to ABC 17 News on-air and online for the latest forecast updates.
