Man indicted for allegedly selling meth, possessing stolen guns
A Jefferson City man was charged for allegedly distributing meth and illegally possessing guns.
According to a press release sent by the Office of the United States Attorney Western District, Brandon McNeese, 33, was charged by a federal grand jury on Wednesday.
“The indictment alleges that McNeese distributed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine on Aug. 2, 2018,” the release said. McNeese was also allegedly in possession of nine guns.
Law enforcement conducted a “controlled purchase” of meth from McNeese through a confidential informant in August, according to the release. McNeese allegedly sold the informant 139 grams of meth for $2,000. Investigators found a cellophane bag underneath the vehicle McNeese was driving, which contained several smaller baggies believed to contain narcotics.
“The vehicle was towed, and during a search of the vehicle officers found the firearms in the trunk,” the release said. “Several of the firearms had been reported stolen.”
