Breezy this afternoon as sunshine moves in

SATURDAY: If you’re heading outdoors this morning, you’ll want to grab a jacket as temperatures will start out in the low to middle 40s. As we head through the afternoon, with plenty of sunshine, winds will pick up out of the northwest gusting at times up to 30 mph. Those sunny skies will warm us to near 60 degrees this afternoon.

TONIGHT: A high pressure system will finally settle into the region overnight, relaxing winds and keeping our skies clear. With both of these conditions, our temperatures will take a dive near the freezing mark for much of Mid-Missouri, so remember to move those plants inside with widespread frost expected.

EXTENDED: After a chilly start to Sunday, we rebound into the middle 50s in the afternoon with continued sunshine. Get used to grabbing those sunglasses, because we’ll be seeing sunny skies for much of the upcoming week. Temperatures will warm slightly into the low to mid 60s Monday and Tuesday. Our best chance of seeing rain during the week will come late Wednesday night into Thursday as a cold front drops into the area. Temperatures do not take much of a hit, however, topping out near 60 Friday. Keep up to date with the latest forecast on-air and online with ABC 17 News.
