UPDATE: Boil water advisory canceled in Osage County

UPDATE 10/16: The boil water advisory was lifted Tuesday afternoon.

ORIGINAL: The Osage County Emergency Operations Center issued a boil water advisory Friday afternoon.

According to the center, the advisory was only for district 3 and was caused by work being completed for water line improvements. The advisory affects residents along County Road 300 and all of county roads 305 and 420.

“This also affects addresses along Highway 100 starting at County Road 300 and Highway 100 up to Country Road 421,” according to an emergency operations Facebook post.

Those affected should use only boiled or bottled water for drinking and all other food preparation.
