Woman accused in fatal crash that killed her daughter pleads guilty
Demetres Washington pleaded guilty Friday on three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and involuntary manslaughter.
Washington and her friend Mackenzie Quiovers were accused of kidnapping Washington’s three children from a home in March 2017 and crashing a car, injuring all five people, and killing one.
Washington’s 13-year-old daughter, Shianna Mays, died from injuries suffered in the crash.
Washington received 7 years on each count to be run concurrently.
