Two men arrested after armed robbery

Police arrested two men men Wednesday after a woman was robbed at gunpoint on Business Loop 70.

Deangelo N. Porter, 27, and Keaveon Z. Harris were arrested on suspicion of first-degree armed robbery after a woman reported being robbed in the 1300 block of Business Loop 70 E.

According to court documents, the victim met Porter and Harris on Business loop in order to buy marijuana. She gave the men $290 when Harris handed her a bag containing an unknown substance. When the victim asked Harris what was in the bag, he allegedly got out of the car and held a gun to her ribs.

The victim said Harris took a firearm from her waistband and her wallet, which contained $40.

Porter and Harris then drove from the scene.

Both men are currently in the Boone County Jail.
