New company takes over Cooper County Memorial Hospital

RHG Consolidated LLC has announced that it has sold its interest in Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville to Pinnacle Health Care System, Inc.

In a news release on Friday, RHGC said it acquired the hospital in February 2018, invested more than $3 million to stabilize its operations and make improvements, and worked to secure the hospital’s future.

According to the news release, Pinnacle approached RHGC with an offer to buy its interest in the hospital. The transaction closed last week and the transfer of business and clinical operations to Pinnacle was completed Friday.

RHGC said Pinnacle has agreed to honor the terms and conditions of RHGC’s purchase agreement with Cooper County.

Pinnacle said it will maintain the current services at the hospital, as well as add new and specialty services such as podiatry, orthopedics and general surgery.

An RHGC representative said, “This transaction will further the long-term survivability of Cooper County Community Hospital as well its ability to recruit nurses and other professional staff.”
