Mizzou volleyball to play at Mizzou Arena after Hearnes Center flooding

The Mizzou volleyball team likely played its last game at the Hearnes Center for the 2018 season according to an MU spokesperson.

MU spokesperson Andy Oldenburg said there is still a hope at some point the team could return to the Hearnes Center this season. However, he said the team will play its remaining schedule at Mizzou Arena for the foreseeable future.

Crews tore out the arena floor of the Hearnes Center Thursday after flooding Saturday morning.

The flooding happened due to a water main break that resulted in water getting into the wood of the floor. MU deputy athletic director Nick Joos said Saturday that repairs will exceed $100,000 dollars, but there is not an exact amount.

Joos said they are still trying to find more information on an exact total and when the arena floor will be available for use.
