Deputies find 45 pounds of meth during traffic stop
A Kentucky woman was arrested in Phelps County after deputies found 45.75 pounds of meth and 1.25 pounds of cocaine in her vehicle.
Michel Garcia-Adame was stopped by the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department for a traffic stop on Tuesday morning on Interstate 44. During the stop, the deputy obtained a warrant to search the vehicle and found the large amount of drugs.
The Drug Enforcement Administration conducted an investigation along with the sheriff’s office, and Garcia-Adame was charged in federal court.
