Cooler into Saturday, rain showers for some areas
TONIGHT: Spotty light showers are possible later in the evening but will increase overnight into early Saturday. Areas north of HWY 50 and west of HWY 63 have the best chance and anything we see will be light and spotty. Lows will drop into the upper 40s to near 50 with northeast to east winds up to 10 mph.
SATURDAY: Showers are more likely in the morning Saturday along and north of I-70, shifting northward by early afternoon and ending. Rainfall totals look higher to the northwest, but only .25″ at most is expected. It will be cooler in our northern counties Saturday with highs in the lower 60s north of HWY 24 but in the upper 60s near I-70 and warming into the mid 70s at the Lake of the Ozarks. Winds will shift from the east in the morning to the south late in the day as a warm front lifts to the north across the region.
EXTENDED: It won’t be as cool Saturday night as south winds transport warmer air into the area. Lows will drop into th e upper 50s by Sunday morning with a warm afternoon, reaching the lower 80s under partly cloudy skies. The warmer weather pattern will persist through much of next week with highs in the low 80s through Wednesday and nights in the 60s. There is a weak cold front that will drop south Monday night, bringing a chance of storms overnight into Tuesday morning with the best chance north of I-70. A stronger cold front will bring changes next Thursday and Friday as it slowly moves south. This will give us increasing rain chances from Thursday through Friday and bring cooler air with it.
