Autumn has arrived in Mid-Missouri
SATURDAY: We’re seeing cool temperatures to start the first day of fall here in Mid-Missouri. Light showers towards I-44 we’re seeing this morning will move out of the area later this morning. Clouds will slowly filter out by this evening for our southeastern-most counties. Temperatures will only warm into the low 70s with winds out of the northeast up to 10 mph.
TONIGHT: With cloud cover already having made its way off toward the east, we’ll be left with clear skies overnight. We’ll see temperatures dip into the lower 50s with that light breeze out of the east continuing.
EXTENDED: We stay dry heading into Sunday as well finishing off a spectacular weather weekend in Mid-Missouri. With plenty of sunshine, we’ll warm just a bit more into the middle 70s by the afternoon. That slight warming trend continues into Monday as we reach into the upper 70s for highs. We will also pick up a spot storm chance Monday afternoon as well. A cold front will slide through the area Tuesday afternoon after we warm to near 80. This front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms Tuesday evening and cooler conditions behind it for Wednesday. We get another reinforcing shot of cooler air coming Thursday and a slight chance of rain. Make sure you keep up with ABC 17 on air and online as this forecast continues to evolve over the next 7 days.
