Columbia investigators set up crime scene at apartment off Old 63

UPDATE 10:25: Police arrested Tabitha L. Sallee, 27, on suspicion of child abuse or neglect and making a false police report after a 4-year-old was admitted to a hospital with serious injuries, police said in a news release.

ORIGINAL: Columbia police were seen setting up a crime scene at an apartment complex on Old Hwy 63 Tuesday morning.

The department’s Crime Scene Investigation unit was parked outside of an apartment building at Lakewood Apartments just before 7 a.m.

One police officer is also at the scene.

ABC 17 News crews are at the scene working to find out what police are investigating.
