Remaining warm and Humid into the weekend

FRIDAY: It’s a warm summer afternoon, as temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s today under mostly sunny skies. Southerly winds will continue to pump in more moisture, as dew points rise to near 70 degrees. Factoring in the humidity, it will feel more like the lower 90s through the day.

TONIGHT: Temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 60s through the night with mostly clear skies. Humidity will stick around tonight as we remain dry.

EXTENDED: As Hurricane Florence makes landfall along the east coast, it will influence our weather greatly. Drier air over the Ohio River Valley will backtrack into the region keeping any rain chances at bay. The weather for Sports Zone Football Friday looks great with clear skies and temperatures dropping from the low 80s at 7 pm to the upper 70s by 9 pm. However, we could see a small chance for a few isolated showers Sunday evening, but it looks greatly limited. I would keep the outdoor plans through the entire weekend. More rain chances make their way back into the forecast next week but for now, it looks limited to spot showers through the middle of next week. Temperatures into next week will stay in the mid to upper 80s, as the summertime ridge remains anchored across the region.
