California school bus crashes

A California R-1 School District bus was involved in a crash Friday afternoon as it was bringing students home.

Approximately 20-25 students of all grade levels were aboard the bus at the time of the crash, according to Superintendent Dwight Sanders. Students were floated to another bus, which arrived on scene shortly after the crash.

The crash happened at the intersection of Buchanan Street and Taylor Avenue when a car hit the side of the bus, according to Sanders. Since the vehicles were traveling at a low speed, the crash was not serious.

No one was hurt in the crash.
