Things Stay Quiet in Mid-Missouri, Eyes Turn To Florence

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will continue across Mid-Missouri for the rest of the overnight hours as temperatures slowly drop through the 60s and 50s. It will feel a little chilly out the door tomorrow morning, you may want to grab that jacket. Some patchy fog is possible as well, especially near rivers and low lying valleys.

MONDAY: Rinse and repeat. We’ll see a similar day Monday with temperatures slowly rising through the 70s by the afternoon hours. Sunshine is in full control tomorrow as well, a great day to get out for lunch, and maybe head outside after work.

EXTENDED: Things stay quiet for much of this week across Mid-MO, sunshine and a slow warming trend are the key features that we’re tracking through Saturday. By the weekend we’re slowly tracking temperatures to be back above average… thankfully above average puts us in the mid 80s… no big time summer heat looks to make a return at this point. We’re also tracking Florence as it approaches the Carolina Coast. If you know anyone, or have any travel plans along the coastline, the likelyhood of a major landfalling hurricane is increasing by the hour. We’ll track Florence and the quiet weather across Mid-Missouri through the next week online and on ABC 17 News.
