UPDATE: Victim hospitalized after Ash Street stabbing
UPDATE 7:35 a.m.: Columbia police released more details about the stabbing on E Ash Street early Tuesday morning.
The victim was in his home when he got into an altercation with a stranger, according to police.
The man was stabbed in the arm. His injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.
Police said the victim was being uncooperative during the investigation.
UPDATE 4:30 a.m.: Columbia police said a victim is being treated at the hospital after being stabbed in a home on E. Ash Street early Tuesday morning.
Police said they couldn’t confirm what led to the man being stabbed. They are still investigating the incident.
ORIGINAL: Multiple Columbia police officers are investigating at a home on E Ash Street early Tuesday morning.
ABC 17 News crews saw at least six patrol vehicles on scene around 3:15 a.m. It appears that officers may be conducting a search.
Early reports indicate there may have been a stabbing at a home on E Ash just after 2:30 a.m. Police have not yet confirmed that information.
