Drizzle possible for the morning commute
TUESDAY: Overcast skies will start the day with some drizzle possible through early morning. Skies will stay mostly cloudy and temperatures will be mild, only reaching near 80. It will also be a bit breezy with northwesterly winds at 10-15 gusting to 22 mph at times. Clouds will break up late in the day with pockets of sunshine possible by the evening.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies will hang around with winds remaining out of the north up to 10 mph. Temperatures will cool through the night and touch 60 by morning.
EXTENDED: It will feel more like fall as the northwesterly wind flow aloft keeps us in below average temperatures through Thursday. The northwesterly winds aloft will also steer smoke from the wildfires out west into our skies once again by Wednesday, making it hazy. High temperatures will reach 80 Wednesday with mostly sunny but hazy skies, dropping to the upper 50s overnight. We’ll pick up a few more clouds Thursday with highs in the lower 80s. By Thursday afternoon storms will increase from the west and move to the east, falling apart as they move. Our southwestern counties look to pick up the better chance of rain Thursday afternoon. More storms will increase Thursday night ahead of a warm front. This front will lift to the northeast Friday and morning showers and t-storms will end through the late afternoon as the front moves northeast. Much warmer air moves in behind the front and the weekend looks hot with highs near 90 Saturday and mid 90s Sunday under partly cloudy skies. It will also be humid this weekend and heat indices will reach as high as 100 degrees. The heat continues into early next week. Watch ABC 17 for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
